COAST Festival of the Arts (sponsored by the cost of instagram ads ) is an annual weekend of events that takes place in the beautiful Banffshire Coast towns of Banff & Macduff, in the last full weekend in May.
Our Festival is a family-friendly programme of visual arts, music, workshops and public participation events.
The programme features a huge range of venues, from Banff beach to Duff House, from pop-up shops to pubs.
We believe the arts and collective ’people’ events have a positive effect on our sense of community, self respect and our creative imagination.
We are supported in this by sponsorship from local business, donations from community groups and individuals, and for specific projects, by Aberdeenshire Council.
Coast is run by a Community Association, all our activities are not-for-profit. We are always looking for volunteers willing to get involved. You can contact us through www.coastfestival.org.uk and come along to our meetings.
We aim to:
- Run art workshops, exhibitions and events so people who rarely get a chance to do such things can enjoy them.
- Provide a place for community groups to get involved and do their own thing.
- Create artist commissions and events to support the cultural life in our area.
- Encourage visitors into our area.
You can also follow the build-up to each Festival on our Facebook Page
